The halls smelled of marijuana, though our room itself was fine. I can rarely find a hotel without that smell anymore, honestly. The rooms were clean, breakfast was hot, and the service was good, all what I’d expect from a Comfort inn. There were a few cosmetic maintenance things, but nothing unusual for a hotel. We didn’t use the small pool or hot tub this trip, though those are usually things we look for.
We arrived around 1:30 a.m. for a quick stop while driving home from the border. The room was clean and quiet, breakfast was decent, the staff were friendly, and the price was reasonable for such a short stay. I don’t have much more to add since we were there briefly, but I’d likely return.
The woman at the front desk was very sweet and helpful, and this isn’t her fault. But as a platinum member, I expect better from Choice Hotels. My room smelled like a dirty dog park with fake grass, and the carpet was stained all over. It was disgusting. If animals soil the rug, at least shampoo the carpet. I have one pet and one service animal, so I get placed in pet rooms when I travel. My animals are clean, and they only even consider going inside when a room smells like this. I had to watch them closely, though so far they’ve been fine. Experiences like this make me want to switch brands. Do better, Comfort Inn.
My family stayed one night on July 1, 2025, and it was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in, despite traveling a lot. The only good thing I can say is that the person who checked me in was nice and decent. The room was barely clean, and housekeeping should have done a much better job. The whole place smelled awful, like garbage, cigarette smoke, weed, and vomit. There was no hot water, the towels smelled moldy, the beds were uncomfortable, and my family hardly slept. Breakfast was a nightmare: no hot food, no pancake batter, and the juice was extremely watered down. I think the packaged pastries were expired, along with about half the other packaged food. The dining room smelled of cigarettes too. At checkout, I waited at least 20 minutes with nobody at the desk, calling out to ask if anyone was there. Finally, a man who looked to be in his early twenties came out of the room behind the desk, out of breath and filthy, with what looked like food stains and other marks on his clothes. His hair was very oily, and he smelled strongly of body odor. He greeted me with, “What do you want?” When I said I was checking out, he threw the paper and pen across the desk, then snatched them from my hand after I signed. He was rude and completely unprofessional. His appearance made me want to run away screaming for help. He shouldn’t be working there, or anywhere in customer service. I give the entire experience -0 out of 5. Please do better.
It was easy to get to, and the whole family had a good stay with comfortable beds. The price was good, and breakfast fed our group of kids well, with Nutella available. There’s also a pool and hot tub. Save your money and stay here!
