Holiday Lodge Suites Fort Walton Beach

I had to wait more than 15 minutes because there was just one person working at the hotel. When I went to the front desk, nobody was there to help, and no one answered when I tried to get assistance. The bathroom had no body wash, and staff had none to give me. I asked again the next morning, but when I came back that evening, there still wasn’t any soap. It’s a disgrace for a franchise using Hilton’s name. Sort the reviews from lowest rated if you want to see why I’d avoid this place.

The room was a little small, but that hardly matters when you’re meant to be out at the beach. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. Great place.

The breakfast was decent, though it didn’t look like the pictures. My main complaint was how noisy everything was. I could hear hallway conversations, traffic, doors slamming, and even a phone alarm in the room next door going off three times around 5 a.m. The walls are paper thin, and things in the room creaked, too. The refrigerator was especially loud. The shower had good water pressure, but its base wasn’t level and creaked underfoot, and the door didn’t shut properly, so water got onto the bathroom floor. The pool was tiny and really dirty. At check-in there was no one at the desk until someone rode into the hotel on a bicycle and came over. The staff weren’t friendly, and the girl checking me out didn’t say a word. I’m so disappointed with this place.

I’m glad I booked before reading the reviews because I had a great stay. The room was very clean, and the service was great. Breakfast was standard hotel fare, but they had pancakes. The shower was awesome, with lots of water pressure. I’d stay again and recommend it to family and friends.
