Fullerton Lodge

We found a room at Fullerton at 1 am after another hotel gave ours away and left us scrambling for somewhere available. The front desk man kindly held the room for ten minutes while we drove over. The room was clean and quaint, with a heater/AC unit and TV. We ended up canceling the rest of our trip for other reasons, but he tried to work out a room for the remaining two nights we'd originally said we needed. He was much more sympathetic than the man at the other hotel. I'd stay here again because the staff were so kind.

The quiet atmosphere made for a restful night's sleep, and the room was spotless, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. The bed was cozy, and I appreciated the fresh linens and well-stocked bathroom amenities. Parking was convenient and free. The location is great, close to restaurants and shops and a short drive from local attractions. Staff welcomed me warmly and were very accommodating from arrival; check-in was smooth, and the front desk made sure I had what I needed. Fullerton Lodge Hotel exceeded my expectations for value, cleanliness, and hospitality. I'd definitely stay again and recommend it to visitors.

Cheap, so I got about what I expected, just don't expect too much. The room and linens were mostly clean, and the bed was comfortable enough, but the mattress cover made a lot of noise. Street traffic was loud, so bring earplugs. I slept fine with them. The bathroom looked like the paint job was only halfway done, though it was clean enough. I had to keep the bathroom door shut because the light was too bright to sleep. There was shampoo and conditioner, but no coffee or other extras.

For $95 a night for two adults, the room should have been cleaner. Housekeepers need enough time to deep-clean the rooms. When I moved the nightstand to find an outlet for my phone, there was trash underneath it, and the bathroom floor corners were dirty. The door looked cracked, and they seemed to have only patched it with spackle without repainting. The room needs more attention to cleaning.
