Westwoods Motel

At 3 a.m., after struggling to find a room with enough parking for our stock trailer, we came across this little jewel. I hated to wake the innkeepers, but we were exhausted and needed sleep. They were the nicest couple and didn’t seem annoyed at all to be woken. The room was clean, and the bed was so comfortable. Highly recommend.

The price felt fair, and the owners and staff were kind and accommodating. My wife and I only stayed one night, but the room was very clean, everything worked, and the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds we’ve slept in. We’d definitely come back.

The staff were friendly, but housekeeping needs to do a better job of making rooms safe, especially for children. When we checked in last night, I moved the curtain to turn on the heat and a syringe fell and hit me in the face. There were empty baggies on the floor too, and no shampoo or soap.

The linens were also inadequate for two people, and they didn’t offer any discount after we reported the problem. We saw 7-8 roaches in our room between Saturday night, 11/18, when we arrived, and Monday morning, 11/20, just before leaving. The office offered to move us, but we were already settled in, and they acted as if they didn’t know about the roaches. We will NOT stay at this motel again.
