The food and location were both 10/10, and dinner was thoughtfully made and delicious. John’s fishing tour was just as great. He clearly knows the Kenai and guided us with real care and respect for the river and its wildlife. Jamie deserves a huge amount of credit for making our last-minute plans work. I contacted her two weeks before my trip during peak season, not expecting anything to be available, but she found a way to fit us in. There was a small mix-up with where we were staying, so we couldn’t stay on the property itself. Jamie was very apologetic and arranged a room at their sister resort, even though she really didn’t have to. I was the doofus booking a fishing trip and stay at the last minute in peak season, and she went out of her way to help. The sister resort was about a 10 minute drive away, closer to town center, and had private lakefront access, so it worked out wonderfully. We could still enjoy Kenai Riverside Resort’s lakefront access, outdoor fireplace, lounge area, and meals. Organization: 10/10. Whatever Jamie’s salary is, it needs to be DOUBLED. She’s an absolutely incredible manager.
