The card didn't get freed up until checkout, after being left with no available credit and $1,000 over its limit. This was a work card used specifically for hotels, so it couldn't be used at the next stop. We travel for work 6-8 months a year, across many states, and my husband has stayed in thousands of hotels over 15 years. This has never happened before. Hotels normally add the deposit separately and release mistaken holds within a day or two. Holding $4,000 for a week is highly unprofessional. My husband reserved four rooms, and the original charges were $929.17x4. When he checked in, the hotel charged another $1,079.17x4, instead of just adding the $150x4 deposit to the first set. I'm not disputing the deposits, only how the charges were handled and kept pending for a week. We have a screenshot showing the duplicate charges. They were told Monday, five days before this update, to drop the extra charges, and we followed up again at 7 am today. They were still pending that evening. Staff didn't even know about the double charge until I told my husband and he raised it with them. They said it should clear in a couple of days. Five days later, nothing. The bank confirmed no release issue on their end, and this has never been a problem with this card company. You shouldn't tie up money that doesn't belong to you. At what point does holding $4,000 like this become fraud?

Free parking, including EV charging stations, is a nice bonus, and the place has a few thoughtful extras. There's free coffee, snacks, and refreshments in the lobby during the day, plus complimentary continental breakfast. Rooms have a microwave and fridge. It has the feel of a traditional roadside motel and is reasonably priced, so the value is good. There's no elevator to the second floor, and highway noise can be noticeable at night when it's otherwise quiet. A solid budget option.

I'm following up about the refund for the duplicate charge from my recent stay. More than 10 business days have passed since it was supposedly processed, but the money still hasn't appeared in my bank account. My bank says no refund has been applied and needs the transaction code or ARN (Acquirer Reference Number) to trace it. Please send me the ARN or any transaction details your processor issued when completing the refund, so my bank can locate it and finish processing it. Thank you for your help. I asked Corporate for a refund because finding cockroaches all over the bathroom and on the headboard was disgusting. This was our third night in room 119. We had to leave at 4 am for our flight, and were horrified to realize we'd been sleeping with them. I can only imagine they were there all three nights. I'll be checking every bit of our luggage before bringing it into my home in case any came along. The breakfast was good, especially the biscuits and gravy, but now that I know the place is infested with roaches, I wouldn't eat it again.
