Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Gadsden W-Near Attalla by IHG

The breakfast attendant was the standout for me, probably the friendliest hotel staff member I've met. I didn't get her name, but she really carried the whole experience and was something special. The location is handy, just off the highway and a short walk to the Cracker Barrel next door. The beds weren't very clean, and the pull-out was worse.

Katrina made breakfast every morning, and she's a real bright spot. So joyful, kind, and friendly, I felt like I'd made a friend at a hotel, which doesn't happen often when I travel for work. I hope management knows what a treasure she is, and that she knows she's got a fan in me. I'd come back just to see her again. The room was clean, the staff friendly, and there was fresh coffee all day and night.

Katrina made my partner and me feel right at home while we ate breakfast. There were lots of choices and a nice open dining area. After a terrible stay at another hotel nearby, this clean, cozy place completely turned the night around. The woman at the front desk was welcoming and helpful too. I'd definitely come back.

We paid $170 a night because the pool and hot tub were advertised, while the hotel next door was $103. Both were closed when we arrived, and no one offered anything to make up for the inconvenience or misleading listing. Paying an extra $70 a night wasn't worth it, and even a small discount would've been a nice gesture. The elevator was out the entire time, so we had to use the stairs to the third floor.
