The room was listed at $70, but taxes and fees added $30, making it $110. The free internet is 10mb and requires watching ads or signing up for other services. There were no smoke detectors in the room, and the manager ignored me when I mentioned the missing alarms, which are required by law. Instead, there were open wires left in the wall. The inside door lock was missing too, and someone had left underwear in the closet. They offered a 10 percent discount for all of these problems.

I was traveling alone and felt unsafe in the room at the back, where it seemed drugs were being used and people were fighting. I asked to move to the front, and they did move me. There was activity around the clock, and law enforcement was called several times. The rooms had roaches. If you asked for extra towels, you had to hand over your used ones before they’d give you fresh ones. My stay at this motel was anything but pleasant, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone traveling alone.

The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, the AC was cold, and the front desk was very nice. It was quiet overnight. In the morning, though, construction went on for an hour or two, with saws, banging, and heavy drops that made it hard to sleep. I’m not sure whether it was at the hotel or next door. Without the construction, it would have been a perfect stay.

The property was noisy late into the night, with people laughing and carrying on outside in the hallway. Breakfast was missing most of what you’d expect at a Quality Inn. In the first room, there were no fitted sheets, stains on the bed, and a sticky substance on the nightstand. We were moved, but had to call down for towels, washcloths, and soap. The next morning there was no shower curtain, and they couldn’t provide one, so we couldn’t shower. Angie at the front desk said she’d comp the room, but we were charged $122.90. When I called, Angie argued with me and sent a receipt for the full charge, insisting that was my comped rate.
