Quality Inn Ganesville - TX Ganesville Area

We paid for two rooms for a nearby New Year's Eve event, and couldn't wait to leave. They smelled thick and musty, like body odor and heavy smoke, almost like walking into an ashtray. The towels smelled smoky too. Floors hadn't been swept or vacuumed well, and there were pills and other things in different spots. The furniture looked like it hadn't been moved to clean behind it. The desk chair had layers of ash and crumbs and looked untouched for months. There was a dirty footprint on the bathroom door and other questionable grime. The broken toilet-paper holder and hair dryer seemed to have been 'fixed' with duct tape, cheap glue, and about 50 layers of caulk, hair placement included. It felt like a seedy hourly motel. The only positives: the sheets looked clean enough to sleep on for a few hours, I didn't see bugs, and nobody was loitering around. The reviews called this a high-quality, clean, renovated Choice Hotel, but that's total crap. This place wasn't worth even a zero rating. I'll never return. Spend your money on a cleaner room somewhere else.

We stayed two days and needed fresh towels, but were told we couldn't get extras unless we brought the used ones back. The place didn't seem very clean, and there was what looked like blood on the top sheet.

There's nothing quality about this hotel. I'm glad we found somewhere to sleep for the night, but this felt like a $50-a-night place, not one charging $160. The room was filthy and rundown, and maintenance seems like something they've never heard of. There's too much to describe, so you'd have to see for yourself.

We walked into the room and, as we always do, checked the beds. There was pee on one, and a trash can was catching water dripping through a fire detector. Two other people were at the lobby checking out with similar problems. It's the worst hotel we've ever stayed at; you'd be better off under a bridge or in your car. They also guaranteed the hot water would be fixed, but it never was, and offered no discount. The place was a horrible joke.
