The room was clean, breakfast fresh and good, and the location was ideal. Everything else was good too, but parking costs extra, and a pending charge for the room amount appeared after we were charged. We were told it would clear within 24 hours of arrival, but it was still pending at checkout five days later and didn't drop off until day six. The hotel should tell guests it can take 5-7 days so they don't expect it to clear sooner.

The room was still barely comfortable when we got back from dinner, even though we had left the heat on its highest setting for more than 90 minutes. The desk clerk had said he would handle our concerns, but he didn't offer another room or a space heater, and housekeeping never cleaned ours. The bathroom sink handle was filthy, and the light switches had a sticky, disgusting substance on them. I can only guess what it was. We stayed in room 310 on January 16-17. It was freezing when we arrived because the hotel has no central forced-air system, just individual room HVAC units. The room and hallway phones were both dead, one bedroom light didn't work, the shower was only lukewarm, and the hair dryer barely worked. The sheets were dirty, and I developed an eye infection that I'm now taking antibiotics for. The lobby juice machine and the third-floor ice machine and “market place” vending machines were all out of order. On top of that, they charged $10 a day for parking without telling us before the stay.

A good value for the money, with a clean, roomy room and staff who were kind and helpful. Just keep in mind that parking costs extra.

Everything else was okay, but the service from the tall, skinny man at the front desk was rude and poor. We won't be back. I'd tell people looking for a hotel to avoid this one, and we'll be reporting the disrespectful treatment. Hopefully something gets done.
