Sandy, Rawge, and lovling are such a great crew. I’d already written about the rest of the team, but wanted to thank Mrs. Ana too for making the best coffee every morning. I already miss it. They made the stay feel easy as Sunday morning, and I’d recommend this location for any kind of trip. Thanks, guys, and Mrs. Ana!

The front desk person was nice, and check-in was quick even though I got there late in the evening. The room looked good at first, with a big counter and fridge, but it smelled musty, almost like mold and urine. The pillows were nearly flat. The sheets seemed mostly clean, I didn’t notice bugs, and there wasn’t breakfast. I didn’t feel unsafe, though the area didn’t seem like the best. I’ve stayed in worse places, but this wouldn’t be my first choice. You get what you pay for.

Rajvir made my stay at the Red Roof Inn in New London, CT feel personal and easy. He got me checked in quickly, helped make sure I was comfortable, and was warm and friendly throughout. He handled every question and request with patience and genuine care. I don’t usually leave reviews, but his professionalism and kindness stood out. Rajvir clearly takes pride in his work and cares about guests, and he represents the Red Roof brand really well. People like him are why customers come back. I think he deserves recognition and a chance to advance. Thanks, Rajvir, for making the stay memorable.

Priceline told me today, 11/5, that the hotel won’t refund the $100+ for my room. I’d booked for 10/18 while sitting on a plane that was supposed to get me into NY at 3:30 p.m. We had to get off the plane after redocking three times, and didn’t finally arrive until 1:30 a.m., too late to drive to Mystic. As soon as I knew we weren’t taking off, I tried to cancel, but Priceline said they needed to email the hotel. It’s really upsetting that they’d keep the payment for a service I never received, especially when an airline disruption during a government shutdown was hard to control. I was already bummed my plans fell apart. Future travelers, don’t book unless you’re completely sure you can make it.
