We only meant to stay one night, but were exhausted and ended up staying two. The owners let us keep the same room at the same price, which was nice. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the fridge and microwave worked, and the shower was hot with good pressure. It’s an old motor inn, so bring your own charging setup since there are no USB outlets, but it has a lot of charm. There have been new owners since Sept 4, 2025. They’ve cleaned the carpets, painted, and made sure everything is tidy, clean, and safe. It felt friendly and secure, and I hope they keep it clean and maintained and keep out riffraff. That would make this a nice business for years through good reviews and word of mouth. Just great. You can hear the train, but it isn’t too bad. I wish all budget motels were this friendly, clean, and reassuring.

I spent two months here and didn’t get one peaceful night’s sleep. The walls are so thin you can hear everything from the rooms next door and from downstairs if you’re on the second floor. Doors kept slamming, walls got thumped, and there was occasional shouting and fighting in the parking lot. The long-term guests were scary. The family running the motel worked hard to keep up with things, but the experience was horrifying. There’s such little respect for other guests’ peace at cheaper motels these days. Unbelievable.

A family-owned, clean, friendly place and a really good-value stop on my cross-country drive. It was just right for getting some rest while also enjoying a bit of Route 66 history.

I’ll be back. This Route 66 find had spacious rooms, a peaceful feel, and that old-school motel vibe that’s disappearing. It was comfortable and had a nostalgic, serene atmosphere. I also got a valuable gift from the front desk hospitality that I’ll carry with me for life. Thank you to the front desk.
