Comfort Inn & Suites Galt - Lodi North

The breakfast was a bit disappointing, especially the overcooked sausages, but the staff were friendly and helpful. My room was large, comfortable, and accessible, with a soft bed. There are lots of amenities in the same plaza, though the location itself is a little quirky. Nicer than some Comfort Inns, and a good experience overall.

I’ve stayed here a few times because my family lives nearby, but I won’t be back. The curtains in our room weren’t attached at the top and hung off the rod at both ends. At check-in, the front desk person was rude. She didn’t ask whether I had a membership and quoted a higher room rate than we’d been given. When we explained we’d already spoken with someone, she said it must not have been here and didn’t offer any alternatives. Reservations asked us to hand her the phone. She reluctantly honored the rate the representative gave her, but seemed irritated and wasn’t accommodating.

Julie made our arrival feel welcoming and made sure we felt valued. She was kind and professional, and explained everything clearly, which helped the stay go smoothly. We had a wonderful time at the Comfort Inn, and we’ll definitely return. Thanks, Julie, for the great service.

We finally got our $250 deposit back after 7 days, along with the room charge being taken from our credit card. We’re seniors and have been Choice reward members for over a decade, so this experience left us distrustful and put a damper on our vacation. Choice group of hotels wasn’t helpful in getting the money returned, and this will make us avoid their brand on our yearly drive across the US. The hotel management was very disappointing. If you’re okay with a deposit taking nearly a week to come back, then stay here.
