The rooms were really cute and very clean, and having washers and dryers on site was handy. Check-in and checkout were simple, with everything handled through email since there’s no front desk. I’d add a wastebasket to the coffee and laundry room, and another one in each room.

We had a lovely anniversary stay at The Oleander. The room was quiet, comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated, and check-in was easy. Parking was free and secure, and the location is central. We could walk to dinner at Habanos and a concert at Old Quarter Accustic Cafe.

The staff made us feel genuinely welcome, and the hotel was peaceful while still being close to the beach and local attractions. After a day around Galveston, it was a comfortable place to unwind. The Oleander Hotel is beautifully designed and spotless, with thoughtful touches that make it feel special. We’d happily stay again and recommend it.

Room 5 was clean, and the location is great. Check-in was easy, too. But the mattress is badly worn, the TV didn’t work, and the blow dryer only blew cool air. I didn’t want to head out with wet hair on a cold morning.

We’ve stayed at The Oleander Hotel several times and absolutely love how clean and cute it always is. The owner has a real eye for decorating, and she also runs Emily’s Design Shop, where you can buy some of the hotel pieces. Parking is free, and the rooms have microwaves and mini fridges. There’s a shared area with a washer and dryer, complimentary coffee and tea, and some workout equipment. 10/10, I recommend it to anyone reading this! -@thathoustonmom
