Best Western Plus Humboldt House Inn

The pancake conveyor belt and all the toppings were a huge hit with my girls, especially the chocolate chips. Breakfast was free and really tasty. We’d been on our way to The Avenue of the Giants, but daylight was running out, so we stopped here. I’m glad we did. The service was fantastic, the room was clean, and the beds were cozy. They even had comforters, which are hard to find these days. Thanks for a great stop on our trip. Highly recommend!

The beds were really comfortable, and the staff were lovely and friendly. The room was nice, and I could manage a full weightlifting routine in the gym by getting creative with its small equipment selection. Breakfast was decent, though they were out of the gluten-free bread I need. They had Chex, but only wheat Chex. Dogs are welcome.

The staff were helpful, and the rooms were clean and roomy. There’s a Keurig in the room and another in the office, plus several restaurants nearby. It’s pet friendly too. Hope to stop here again on our way home!

We were able to park just outside our room, which was handy. We were in the back building beside a Mexican restaurant, not the main building connected to the lobby. Our room was very clean and spacious, perhaps more room than our family needed. It was a three-queen setup with a small separate bedroom and TV, an unusual layout. I would have liked a lower floor since there’s no elevator in that building, but it was the last room available after a last-minute itinerary change. We chose the hotel as a road-trip stop because of its location and our past experience with Best Western. Another option I might consider next time is the Best Western Country Inn near Eel River Brewing. We passed it on the way in and ate dinner there because there weren’t as many restaurants near our hotel. The continental breakfast area was clean and roomy, with good choices. The staff were very hospitable and went out of their way to check on us. The pool looked nice, but we had no time to use it, and the jacuzzi was out of order. There was also a food truck right next door, along with the Mexican restaurant.
