The manager insisted on proof after I told him I had a service dog, even when I pointed out that under the ADA he could only ask two questions. He said he knew the law but still needed proof, adding that many people bring their dogs. When I asked whether they’d done any damage, he said no, but repeated that he needed proof. Then he showed me a letter from another hotel guest that included the person’s name, DSM-5 diagnosis, and therapist. That was deeply inappropriate, and it showed exactly why this is illegal.

I only stayed one night. It’s a basic, traditional family-run motel near the highway. The room was a little small but fine, clean, and everything worked. The outside was well maintained. I’d stay again.

The rooms have a spacious, clean, old-school feel. I think it’s family-owned, and everyone was friendly and nice, with Spanish speakers. Breakfast isn’t included, but there are good alternatives nearby, like King City Gill or Dennys. Thanks, I’d stay here again if I’m in the area.

We felt comfortable and safe here, and the people working there were awesome. The Fireside Inn is affordable and clean, and there were pretty flowers outside too. Glad we found it.

The room had a working fridge and microwave, and the new windows and cinder block walls kept noise from neighbors down. The parking lot was well lit. I didn’t see bed bugs, though the room smelled strange and the guys in the front office seemed alright. Probably more like three stars, but everyone seems to rate it high, so I’m giving four.
