Carole Motel

The room was dirty, and I could hear the neighbors through the wall. Getting there had already been a frustrating ordeal. When I arrived, the office was closed and a note sent me elsewhere to collect the key. The address on it led to an empty field down the road. I called the number on the website, and a very rude man said he’d send the address, then hung up. He never sent it. When I called again, he asked if I couldn’t read my messages and hung up once more. Because the address had the wrong street name, it took me over an hour to find the right place. The man was extremely rude when I finally got the key. After driving all day, I just wanted to sleep, but the room was dirty and I could hear people next door. I included photos of the room and the sign.

The service was excellent, and the location was good. A very clean, pleasant hotel. I’d definitely recommend it.

My family and I didn’t feel safe at all, and the receptionist’s threats after I raised our concerns made things worse. I won’t book there again. We had to find another place and pay more, but it was worth it for my family. I was very upset by the whole interaction. Our original booking was at Savannah Inn & Suites. When we arrived, we were given a room with fog on the windows and water rushing in the tub that couldn’t be shut off. I went back to registration, and the receptionist assigned us a room at the "house" at Carole Motel. I decided to cancel and was charged $67, even though I’d barely gone into the rooms. The receptionist was rude and disrespectful when I said we weren’t happy and asked to cancel. She threatened to call the police, saying I was keeping her key. I said I didn’t want the key, but wouldn’t return it until the reservation was cancelled. She also said the longer I stayed, the longer they’d charge me. There were roach remnants in the cabinets. If I could give this no stars, I would. 100%.

The room was small, though clean, and we chose this motel because it accepts dogs. The dog charge was as if they were people. It’s on a busy road, and the passing train is noisy. We also had to go to another place for reception, but no one told us in advance. The door wouldn’t open, so we went back to where the owner was. He kept the key and said he’d come open it, leaving us waiting 15 minutes.
