The IronHorse Inn

These cabins felt homey, spacious, quiet, and clean, with parking right outside the door. I usually lean toward Air BNB because it feels more like home, but I often miss the service you get at a good hotel or motel. Iron Horse Inn gave us both. The staff were wonderful, communicative, and provided top-notch service. Shops and restaurants in the main downtown area are an easy walk away. I highly recommend it and would stay again if I visit Bear Lake.

After our family spent the day at Bear Lake, our van broke down as we were leaving. We’d never stayed overnight at Bear Lakes and didn’t know the lodging options, so we called around. Brett at the IronHorse Inn was incredibly kind and got us a last-minute reservation at nearly 11 PM. The cabin was clean and spacious, and the service was wonderful. The owners also worked with us kindly the next day while we sorted out a tow. What could’ve been a disastrous situation turned into something manageable because of the compassion from the IronHorse Inn owners and staff. Sometimes kindness to people is the best business practice. We’ll make IronHorse our first choice for future family trips.

This place was awful, with mosquitoes and bugs all around. My kids were so disappointed. There were no outside lights at night, so it was very dark and scary. Inside looks new, but there’s no AC. They have a portable unit that can cool only 50 ft.², while the whole cabin is 600 ft.². How are you supposed to cool that? There were so many bugs.

The rooms were neat and clean, and the spot is right in the middle of town, close to restaurants and shops. A great place for a Bear Lake getaway with family or a group of friends.
