Garden Grove Inn

We asked twice for the TV remote because we couldn't find it, and nobody followed up. The bathroom doorknob came right off, hair was clogging the tub drain, and the shower rod had been duct-taped back together. The walls had peeling paint, and the door latch looked damaged, which felt like a safety concern. This room was filthy and looked like something out of a Saw movie. I'm not usually fussy or one to complain, but this was awful. You really do get what you pay for.

It's a cheap option if that's what you need, but don't expect a clean or convenient stay. The rooms are small and dirty in every corner, and they even charge for ice. I'd only recommend it for one night if the low price is your main concern.

The one good thing was the woman at the front desk, who was very nice when I called. Otherwise, the place felt dangerous and run-down. There was arguing outside our door all the time, and people seemed to be trying to break into rooms. I was also worried cleaners might pocket some of our things when we left. The shower barely worked, and neither did the outlets. Inside, it smelled musty as soon as we walked in, and bugs came around at night. Honestly, I'd rather sleep at a Walmart.

The smell was bad as soon as we walked in, and things kept making the stay worse. The door wouldn't close, the bed sheets were burnt, and the floors were broken. The photos gave a completely different impression. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
