Best Western Plus Gardena Inn & Suites

Things here are pretty average, but the internet is a serious headache. A firewall gets in the way of even basic browsing, so you have to troubleshoot every click, page, or site. Google pages and news sites are a struggle, and streaming is basically laughable. Bring your phone to use as a hotspot, or leave the laptop and tablet at home.

There were good places to eat nearby, and the hotel also served food. The setting sits among both older and newer surroundings, but I felt safe once I got there. The room and service were great. I'd stay again.

So far, so good. I checked in a few hours ago, and it was quick and easy. The room looks nice and clean. The AC isn't working, but the window opens enough to let in a cool breeze. I'm here for work, so the location is convenient.

Miguel was the one bright spot. He checked us in the first night and was very polite and helpful. The rest of the staff came across as rude and unhelpful. On October 4th, some teenagers were shouting, screaming in the hallway, and slamming doors. We called the front desk three times; at first they said there wasn't much they could do. Around midnight a supervisor finally spoke with the noisy room, then called to say they'd talked with the parents and the kids would quiet down. I eventually fell asleep around 1 a.m., exhausted and frustrated. We shouldn't have had to call so many times just to get a chance at decent sleep.
