After a day in the park, it was lovely to relax on the balcony overlooking the Yellowstone River. The staff were friendly, and our room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful river view. The location right outside Yellowstone’s North Entrance was excellent. I’d definitely stay again.
We got a good night’s sleep in the comfortable beds, and the service was great. Absaroka Lodge is an older hotel, but the rooms are updated and clean, and the online photos matched what we found. The location above the river gives you really cool views, and if you’re lucky, wildlife too. We watched elk playing in the yard across the river one morning. The price felt fair for what you get. Gardiner is a small town, and most of the hotels seem quaint and locally run. We’d love to come back.
The staff were so welcoming, kind, and helpful throughout our stay, and the place had a peaceful, cozy feel. Absaroka Lodge is clean and beautiful, with an amazing location and views. It made our trip even better. We absolutely loved staying here and would happily return.
The rooms were very clean and right beside the river, though they felt a little dated. The service was excellent, and the location was great. I’d definitely stay here again.
There’s no shortage of elk around here. We saw them in the parking lot, and the balcony seating was nice. The room was clean and quiet during our stay, though we mostly just slept there. If you need a quiet place to crash, this might work. It’s close to Mammoth and Yellowstone, and you can walk to food and gift shops. Gardiner is a sweet little entrance town with tourist shops and places to eat. The practical basics were there: internet, hot water, and a clean bed. There’s no breakfast, pool, gym, or elevator, and it’s pretty no-frills. Parking is tight, there are stairs, and accessibility is lacking. Staff seemed uninspired, to put it nicely. The balconies offer almost no privacy. Neighbors spent a lot of time on theirs, and they could see into our room if we left the blinds open, which we wanted to do for the river view.
