We spent over $400 on dinner for seven on December 30, and it was a disappointing visit after usually having good experiences here. Pierce was doing his best, but he was alone and the boss kept him tied up with a lineman crew. Our drinks sat empty for 20 minutes, and no one cleared our appetizer plates or glasses during the 90-plus minutes we were there, even though other clearing staff were working. One dish, the habanero salmon, arrived without its glaze; the replacement glaze was cold. I’m not sure I’ll come back. This review is about the restaurant only.

I tried to cancel because of a family emergency, and my request was within the cancellation terms, but they still charged the full price. They processed it as soon as I got off the phone, and the person I spoke with was very rude. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and won, so I guess I wasn’t mistaken. Massachusetts has plenty of hotels. I’d avoid this one.

The owners were wonderful when I had a minor car problem during my stay and went out of their way to help make sure I was okay. The rooms and food were great, and the staff was amazing too. This was my second stay, and both visits have been great. It’s the only place I’ll stay in the area, and I’d recommend it any day. Shout out to the couple who own the hotel. They’re a good reminder that there are still good people in the world.

I played violin at a ceremony here, and everyone on staff was kind and helpful. The property is beautiful and seems to be a popular wedding spot. I haven’t stayed in the rooms, but from what I saw, I’m sure they fit the place. Could be a nice choice for a relaxing night or a wedding venue :)

It was our second stay. The room itself was clean, but the pillows were flat, thin, and hard. Friends in the room next door said theirs were the same, and we all left with bad neck pain. The shower wasn’t working right either: the body wash dispenser was empty, and the stopper only moved halfway, so water kept coming from the faucet while just a low stream came through the showerhead. The hot tub was out of order. Also, not being allowed to bring our own alcohol into our room is a pretty lame rule. Are we not allowed to bring our own food, either?
