Days Inn by Wyndham Dallas Garland West

The lobby was clean and the staff were friendly, but I won’t be back. The motel is in a noisy industrial area, and the bathroom was in bad shape, with slap-on paint and lots of silicone caulk covering things up. Breakfast was just one juice, two cereals, and a couple of packaged pastries. I also found two cockroaches in the shower, and the freezer door in the mini fridge was broken.

We booked four nights but left for another hotel on the first night because the conditions were so bad. The bed was dirty, with stains and crust all over it, and there were bugs in the bathroom cups and urine on the floor. The grounds felt unsafe. I’m pregnant and didn’t feel safe or think it was a healthy place for me. The front desk wasn’t kind, and the manager didn’t do much to resolve the problem.

The room had bugs, the sheets were stained with who knows what, and the curtains looked like something out of a horror movie. I was here for work and had no choice but to stay. The rooms are cheap, but they’re very dirty. They say breakfast starts at 6, but you might only get cereal and a yogurt if you’re there in time. They save the products they buy for guests to serve themselves. When you call about service or complain, they don’t care or improve. Good luck.

The freeway location was convenient, and the pool looked okay, though I didn’t use it. My first room smelled of cigarettes, so I asked to switch. The replacement didn’t have that smell, but the hallway smelled like pot. Inside, a stain on the unopened toilet paper made the place feel like a one-star motel. The front desk young man’s service was subpar. Breakfast had no water or hot food, and the so-called real juice was overly sweetened water. I took a yogurt and felt lucky. The experience left me unsure about staying at Days Inn again or recommending it. Some locations are okay, but this one was pretty bad.
