We live an hour and a half away, so getting here isn’t always simple. When Tropical Storm Ophelia came through, we worried our camper might flood, and the new manager and current staff were quick to respond and check on us and the other campers. They were amazing. John and Craig in maintenance work hard in any weather, whether they’re sick or well, and go out of their way to keep everyone comfortable and happy. Kim in the office is always lovely to talk to and happy to help, especially with information about Gwynn's Island. The campground and bath house are clean, and the woman who cleans is always smiling and pleasant. We’ve finished our first year here and couldn’t be happier. I’m glad to be part of this community and already looking forward to next summer. Thanks for everything!

The kids had a great time at the mermaid and pirate party this weekend. Face painting, balloon animals, and a magic show were all included in our stay. There’s also a lovely view by the playground, which is in great shape, plus a fishing pier and beach. It’s a place people of all ages can enjoy, and the resort is peaceful and well cared for. All the staff were kind and helpful. We came to Gwynn’s Island after a storm knocked out the power at New Point, which is run by the same people. They made moving us to another campground seamless. Thanks for a great weekend!

The resort is beautiful, and both the staff and fellow campers are wonderful. Mike, who runs the place, is kind and helpful, and you can spot him all around the resort. He’s there whenever he’s needed. John has also gone above and beyond for us several times when we needed help or were in a bind. We love this place!

We loved our waterfront site, D01, on both visits this year, the first week of May and the week of September 11th. The views are beautiful and the staff are very friendly. The women's bath house was out of commission, but they set aside hours when we could use the men's side. We hoped to make this an annual trip, so it was really disappointing to hear they might go private next year and stop taking transient campers. This was one of our favorite places this year, and we were looking forward to coming back.

I first came three years ago with my fiancée’s family, who have been coming here for around 30 years, and I’ve returned every year since. The staff are really nice and respectful. Kim is amazing, and she takes care of any problem right away. What I like most is the peace and relaxation. It’s a great place to step away from a busy life.
