Ramada by Wyndham Branson

Tucked into a quiet neighborhood, the hotel is peaceful but still very close to the action. The room was nice, with an elevator to the upper floors, a large flat-screen TV and an extensive cable package. The mattress felt new, and the bedspread was changed along with the sheets. The furniture was nice, though it came from different eras. A major remodel is planned, but the place is already great as it stands. Breakfast was fresh and hot with lots of choices. I liked it and will book here again.

The morning staff were polite, and breakfast was available. The pool looked clean, but we couldn’t swim because we couldn’t see into the water. My four-year-old was really disappointed since she loves looking underwater, but safety comes first. The evening staff seemed stressed and short-handed. Our room felt and smelled strongly of mildew, making it hard to breathe. With my health conditions, I’m still trying to recover. It wasn’t the worst stay, but the property and staff could use some TLC.

The staff were extremely friendly, the rooms were clean, and breakfast was better than at a lot of places. We had a great stay and will be back. A couple of small things: the one-piece shower was a little short on headroom, and the dresser looked worn.

The hotel was quiet and clean, but there was a safety concern with the shower. Every few minutes, a burst of extremely hot water came through. If you weren’t expecting it, it could be hazardous, especially for children or older guests. The hotel wasn’t full because of the covid virus, so high usage affecting the water pressure or temperature wasn’t the cause. I reported it at checkout, and they assured me they’d address it.
