Super 8 by Wyndham Garland North Dallas Area

The room was unbearably hot, and check-in took 20 minutes because nobody came to the desk. The elevator and our whole floor reeked of marijuana and cigarettes. My mattress was so worn down I couldn’t sleep, and there was no one at the front desk when needed. The blankets had cigarette burns. A waste of money. Do NOT stay here!

The whole floor smelled like marijuana, and the service desk was never staffed when we needed someone. Breakfast was frozen waffles, the hot tub was broken, and the pool was freezing. We were moved from one room to another, but the second room was awful too: stains and cigarette burns on the bedding. In the first room, roaches came out of cracks, there was blood in the shower, and the water wouldn’t stop running. I also left my charger in that room. I was told it had already been given to someone else and that I should go knock. Steer clear!

I had to stay because of the ice emergency and couldn’t go elsewhere. They said breakfast was included, but there was none either day. The coffee area had no cups, and I couldn’t find a cage at any time. There wasn’t a coffee maker in my room either. When we got into the room, the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned and the sheets hadn’t been changed. There was used soap in the bathroom and lots of hair on the bed. Without a shower curtain, water got all over the bathroom floor.

I’ve been renting a room here for several days, and I hope the owners read this. I paid yesterday morning, June 30th, and paid again today. Still, last night at 1 a.m., manager Abraha Goitom knocked loudly on my door and asked in a loud voice why I hadn’t paid. Waking me at that hour felt very rude. I recommend the hotel. The service is terrible.
