After an eight-hour drive, I pulled into a parking space to check in and paused to look at my phone. A Black girl with Locs, who I assume worked at the front desk, came up to my car waving to get my attention. She asked whether I was checking in and said I “can’t just sit here.” It felt like she was hurrying me along for taking a moment before going inside. I didn't lower my window because I didn't know who she was, and having an employee approach my car felt inappropriate and unsafe. The strange, rude encounter made me cancel my plans to stay there. It was unprofessional and unsettling.

I've stayed here many times, and Karen, the manager, is always quick to handle any issues that come up. She's wonderful, and she doesn't tolerate nonsense either. I'd recommend staying here. Thanks, Karen, for all you do!

The location was great, the room was clean apart from a strong cigarette smell, and the daytime staff I met were pleasant. But I never saw anyone from the evening staff when I needed help, which was a real disappointment. My daughter, grandchildren, and I were in town for my cousin’s wedding and spent most of Saturday and Sunday away. Both beds had a hard area across most of the mattress and a very soft strip, about five inches wide, on one side. My grandson fell out Friday night, then I fell out Sunday morning. I had tried putting pillows along the edge to prevent another fall, but that didn't help. Now my left arm feels bruised inside and I can barely lift it, so I’ll need to get it checked. I've never stayed somewhere with staff available only in the daytime.

The sink was already damaged, and when I tried to turn off the faucet it cracked completely. I cut my finger, but the staff accused me of breaking it instead of showing concern or taking responsibility for the neglected fixture. They demanded $150 and threatened to call the police. I offered to pay with my American Express and dispute the charge later, but they insisted on cash. At 2 a.m. I didn't have cash, so they called the cops and had me removed while my finger was still bleeding. It was an upsetting, aggressive response that showed no concern for guest safety or fairness. I can't believe they kicked me out over a sink that should have been fixed before I checked in. I'll contact corporate and dispute the charge, and I won't stay at a Super 8 again. Avoid this place.
