The York Chester Inn is a gorgeous home, and the hosts made us feel very welcome. My husband and I stayed one night in the mid century modern room, which was just right, with a comfortable bed, decor that suited the theme, and a distinctive bathroom. It’s conveniently located near downtown, and we walked to a restaurant the hosts had recommended. We could only stay one night this time, but we’ll definitely return. Consider staying here if you’re in the area.

Dixie and Tracey were kind and welcoming owners. We came for one night to see Marc Rebillet’s drive in concert at Hound’s Drive In and had a wonderful time. The breakfast the next morning was fabulous, and we enjoyed hearing about the building’s history. It’s beautifully decorated, and the owners have done a great job with the place. We’ll visit them again when we’re back this way.

The York Chester Inn is one of the best B&Bs my wife and I have visited. Tracy and Dickson were wonderful hosts who treated us like family. The accommodations were top-notch, and the breakfast was the best we’ve had in years. We’ll be back, and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the personal touch of a bed and breakfast.

Tracy and the staff were friendly and accommodating while we were in Gastonia for my son’s wedding. The property is beautiful and very clean, and breakfast was delicious each morning. They’ve done a wonderful job renovating this nearly 100 year old home while preserving its charm. It’s close to downtown and freeway access. Thanks for a lovely visit.

We only planned to stay one night at The York Chester Inn, but after the first night we decided to spend three nights there. Tracy and Dickson made the visit a pleasure. We stayed in the Art Deco Room, and the bed was so comfortable we didn’t want to get up in the morning. Dickson’s excellent breakfast got us moving. In the evenings, we loved sitting on the side porch with a drink, feeling the breeze and listening to the cicadas. The historic building has beautiful woodwork, antiques, decorations, and an interesting past. It’s within walking distance of Downtown Gastonia. We can’t wait to go back.
