The pool area was nice, and the continental breakfast was pretty good, though there was just one waffle maker, so get there early if you want waffles. We got good value for what we paid for a suite with one king and two Queens. It turned out to be adjoining rooms, which worked well. They seemed partly updated, with new carpet, paint, furniture, and bathroom counter, but the mattresses were still old. The bathroom door only shut if you wedged it just right. Our room smelled fine, while the kids’ room smelled of cleaning supplies. The hot tub was hot but a little cloudy. Overall, it was a good stay.
We come here when we snowmobile in the area. It’s inexpensive and clean, and the breakfast is pretty good. Most of the rooms have been updated. I haven’t tried the pool, but it looks nice.
I needed an affordable room for one night because of a family emergency. I called that day and booked at a decent price, knowing the hotel would be pretty full on 2-13-26. When we arrived, vehicles were parked every which way, trailers were taking up spaces, and snowmobiles had been unloaded into more spaces. Vehicles blocked the driveway around the building, so I had to maneuver my car to turn around. Our room, #211, had a strong smell, and there was a sound like heavy rain inside. The air conditioner was running at 61 degrees. When I went to turn it off, water dripped on me. The curtain was soaked and dripping onto the air conditioner, with a big puddle forming on the floor. The front desk gave us a different room, but I can’t stop thinking about the fire hazard of water leaking onto a running air conditioner, the blocked parking access, and whether the air in that room was safe with mold and mildew. I took video of the leak and water damage. It was clearly not a slow leak, or it had been going on for a while. I wish I could get a full refund, since we would have gone somewhere else.
We decided not to stay and went to the Comfort Inn instead. When I asked about getting our money back the next morning, I was told policy didn’t allow it. I understand that policies exist, but the experience left us feeling misled and frustrated. We’d been told by phone that the Comfort Inn was sold out, but when we asked in person, that wasn’t true. I’d booked a room that same day and noticed several red flags at check-in. We didn’t get the room we’d reserved and paid for over the phone: we’d booked a king bed but were given a queen. A staff member also said our room number out loud, which made us uncomfortable. I wouldn’t stay at or recommend this location.
We were moved to a room next to people who talked loudly off and on all night, even though the hotel didn’t seem very busy. The walls must be incredibly thin: we could literally hear them burp and fart. I kept thinking they’d stop soon, but at 3:30 am an alarm went off, then again at 4:30 am. After that, there was nonstop loud talking. My husband asked the woman to quiet down because we were trying to sleep. She said shhh and carried on. We told the front desk. Stephanie Everling, the assistant manager, said she could call them or move us, apparently this had happened with them before. She called down, but they still weren’t quiet when I returned. At 5 am, we had to move rooms because they wouldn’t stop. I asked if she could move them instead. She said no. I asked for a refund, and she said no. I asked to speak with the manager or owner, but she said the manager wouldn’t be in until Monday and she wouldn’t call her at 5 am. We didn’t want to be up moving rooms or listening to those people either, but we had to gather our things and move. The next room smelled horrible, and the third still smelled, just not as badly. I asked for a refund again and got another no. I got no sleep. The pillows were hard, lumpy, bunched-up throw pillows, and I could feel every mattress spring. They couldn’t do anything about a long-term guest being loud all night. Maybe that explains why the parking lot had so few cars on a Saturday. Rude people, awful customer service. If you want sleep, don’t stay here. This hotel doesn’t deserve even one star.
