We booked the whole BnB for our wedding party and had a fabulous time. The Inn is gorgeous and charming, and you can tell the owner put a lot of time, effort, and a ton of cash into the renovation. Every morning we had a delicious hot breakfast, and there were great snacks each evening. The owner was kind, knowledgeable, and clearly wanted everyone to have a lovely stay. Georgetown is a bit far from much, which could be good or bad depending on what you want. The area itself was gorgeous. Getting to the street the Inn is on was awkward, though, and there was plenty of parking. Really enjoyed our stay here!

The breakfast was tasty and plentiful, and our host was welcoming, accommodating, and kind to our dog. Our room was beautifully furnished and well kept, and the place was peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed the second-floor balcony and dining in the backyard. Unfortunately, the hot tub wasn't working. We'd happily return to the American River Inn.

Staying in Georgetown California during the holidays was an experience I won't forget. The feel and vibe of this inn were authentic and amazing, like traveling back in time. If you find yourself in Georgetown California and want that kind of trip, call the American river in and see if they have a room. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Thank you for having us, and see you next year.

We were in town for the Rubicon trail and didn't have as much time here as I wish we had. This lovely family owned Inn was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and we couldn't hear other guests at night. We had one room with a private bath and another with a shared one, which wouldn't be a problem. I think many rooms offer the private bath option too. There's a nice patio and a hot tub tucked away with good privacy. We left too early to have breakfast. Jason's mom was so helpful, sweet, and kind. If you like old homes, this is a must stay. I'll come back just to stay here. Thanks to everyone for making us comfortable.

After 12 hours on the road, my father and I were met by the rudest, most obnoxious person I've ever dealt with. She criticized and talked down to us, blocking our way into the inn for over five minutes. I finally interrupted to ask whether we had somewhere to stay that night. She said yes, since she'd already charged our card for two nights, Thursday and Sunday, but told us we weren't welcome back at “her bed and breakfast” after that night. I've never been treated so badly, especially by hospitality staff. I felt unsafe from the start until the end of the visit, which is the last feeling you want on vacation. There were clear fire code violations, and the inn seemed run down, poorly maintained, and smelled disgusting. I'm shocked by the positive reviews. It looks to me like the owners refuse to put money into the business. Don't use this place even as a last resort. You're better off sleeping in a dumpster.
