The fumes made me so sick that by 4 AM I had the worst headache of my life and was throwing up. I went out to a gas station for Tylenol, then returned and tried to complain, but the man in the office said he couldn’t do anything about our discomfort. We checked out. We’d booked this place for its pool and hot tub, but the pool was closed for an “emergency” when we arrived. The first room’s Jacuzzi drain didn’t work, and it smelled musty and wasn’t clean. The front desk gave us another room with a Jacuzzi, but it reeked of paint fumes. The tub looked freshly painted, and there were used lemons on the bed. Its drain worked, but when we tried the Jacuzzi, paint floated around in the tub. It was already 8 o’clock at night, so we cleaned the bed, but neither of us could sleep because of the fumes.

Breakfast was great, apart from the egg beaters served as scrambled eggs being overheated. The room itself was subpar. Since we arrived late, I didn’t want to call and go through the room-switch hassle, so I cleaned the toilet and Jacuzzi tub myself. The Jacuzzi wouldn’t even turn on, and the pillows were horrific, worse than ones I’ve had at a 2-star motel. The pool also seems to be “Closed due to Emergency” all the time.

We had a wonderful time and really appreciated the hospitality. The breakfast was awesome, and we loved our stay at the hotel. We’re looking forward to coming back to Best western plus!

The staff are what make this place great. Everyone was super nice and very accommodating, and we’ll see you again next year. Our Penthouse sweet was nice, with an extremely comfortable bed. You can tell it’s an old room, and there are old cigarette burns in the jacuzzi. It only has four jets, in odd spots where you can’t feel them while relaxing, but at least they worked, lol. It also takes a long time to fill.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hallways and rooms smelled like old shampoo and smoke, though. Our toilet was dirty when we arrived, and the sheets on the beds had holes.
