I felt unwelcome when I was locked out and asked what room I was staying in. I understand staff have a job to do, but they didn’t stop other people, and as a Latino I felt that was why they questioned me. It made me feel small. I’m not coming back. The bathtub also wasn’t very clean, and other hotels in the same area offer a lot more for the price. If you want more for your money and a place where you feel welcome, please look elsewhere.

The complimentary breakfast deserves an A+, and I’d give the small dining space somewhere between a B+ and an A-. The service was good and our room was clean. Still, it was just okay overall, and I’d booked it only after my first choice, Hampton Inn, had no vacancies. The walls and floors were thin enough that we could hear and feel neighbors’ voices and footsteps.

The rooms were clean, though they had a slightly stuffy smell, like the air hadn’t circulated while they were empty. In the middle of a Texas summer, the warm lobby made breakfast uncomfortable. Getting to the hotel is a bit awkward, too. Compared with other Holiday Inns I’ve stayed at, this one was pretty mediocre.

Old, worn-out sheets and towels, and the place smells. The front desk was rude, with arrogant, pompous employees. This is easily the worst Holiday Inn in America. If you normally choose Holiday Inns for the quality and courtesy you get elsewhere, don’t stay here. If you’re okay with smelly rooms and rude service, then this is the place for you.
