Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Memphis/Germantown by IHG

The room didn’t quite deliver: the beds weren’t very comfortable, the shower pressure was weak, and breakfast was only acceptable. The biscuits were so hard they were almost inedible. The front desk was the highlight. The woman who checked us in and out was kind, professional, and clearly worked hard. When we reported a hot water problem on Friday, the staff member at the counter responded quickly and it was fixed that evening. Customer service was great, but comfort and amenities fell short.

The front desk staff were attentive and helpful, and the bed was super comfortable. The room was perhaps a bit dated, but very clean. A great place for an overnight stop on my road trip.

April at the front desk kept track of our family’s multiple check-ins and handled everything efficiently. The owner was pleasant, welcomed us back, and made sure we were well looked after, including bringing the extra pillows we asked for. We’ll be back!

We waited 29 minutes to check in because nobody was at the front desk. That didn’t feel safe, and we should have left then. There was only one set of towels in the room; when we asked for more, they told us we’d have to return that set to get another. The room wasn’t cleaned at all during our two-day stay. At 11 a.m. they called asking why we hadn’t checked out, even though the clock in the room said 10:44. The staff were very rude, and the kids’ soccer team played hide and seek and randomly knocked on our door both nights, all night. Super disappointed.
