WaterColor Inn & Resort

We came in mid-April and had clear skies with highs in the 70s, just beautiful weather. The beach had white sand and crystal blue water for a real Florida experience. The staff, accommodations, and location were all great, and the pool facilities overlook the beach with easy access to it.

Helen made a real impression at WaterColor Inn. She was working very early on Christmas Day and still treated me with so much kindness and care. She went out of her way to make my visit welcoming and memorable. The inn is lucky to have someone who gives that level of customer service. Thank you, Helen!

My husband and I have traveled all over the world and met all kinds of people, including service that wasn't friendly or welcoming. We didn't expect such a sweet experience at a beautiful, quaint place like this, but that's exactly what we got. Some lovely places disappoint because of the service; this one made us feel like family before we even walked in. Randy at the front desk greeted everyone like a best friend, which was a huge plus. Mercer looked after us at breakfast and by the pool, and was so sweet too. Breakfast was outstanding, full of flavor and made with great quality ingredients. A home away from home should feel comfortable, and this place really does. We didn't want to leave. We've stayed in Watercolor and nearby areas at least six times, traveling from Louisiana, and this was our first visit to WaterColor Inn. Pretty sure we'll want to stay here every time we come back.

The grounds at WaterColor Inn are beautiful and peaceful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff were kind and welcoming. Will at the front desk made my visit even better from arrival to departure. He made sure I had what I needed and shared helpful places to visit on my bike ride. Thank you, Will! I do have some feedback about pool check-in. On my first day, I ate at the restaurant while waiting to check in, then went over to ask about the grounds, pool amenities, and accommodations since it was my first visit. One attendant interrupted me to ask for my wristband. I explained I hadn't checked in yet and was just trying to learn about the property, but she said someone might escort me out until I got a wristband. I felt embarrassed. Another staff member kindly walked me back to the front desk. She explained that the property is spread out and easy to get turned around in, then offered helpful suggestions. Her warm approach was much appreciated. On both my first and second days, including the second day when I was getting ready to leave and hoping for some sun, I had similar encounters at pool check-in. I was interrupted and asked for my bracelet before I could ask questions. I understand the policy, but the tone felt cold and unwelcoming. I decided not to use the pools and went to Camp Creek instead, which was amazing. I enjoyed the rest of my time on 30A there. I still give WaterColor Inn five stars. It's a beautiful property with many wonderful staff members. I'd just encourage the pool check-in team to be a little kinder and more courteous, especially with first-time guests. That experience is why I didn't spend time at the pools. I'd absolutely return and recommend the resort. Thanks again for a lovely visit.
