Comfort Suites Near Gettysburg Battlefield Visitor

The price was reasonable, and the location put me right by the National Cemetery on Cemetery Hill, near downtown and everything I wanted to see. The whole facility was modern, clean, and well kept. Staff were friendly and helpful, with good food suggestions and directions for wherever I asked about. I also appreciated having coffee available 24 hours a day and free iced tea during the day. Highly recommend.

We stayed for a couple of days to learn about and experience the battlefield. The room was large, clean, and had the amenities we expected, and breakfast downstairs each morning saved us from looking for food in town. The front desk was kind and helpful. It’s just beyond the main tourist streets, beside the cemetery, and right at the start of the historic car tours or where you can catch a professional tour bus. Comfortable, friendly place, as long as the cemetery location doesn’t bother you.

The room smelled awful and was filthy. There was hair everywhere, including in the bathroom, on the toilet paper holder, and in the sheets. The shower had barely been wiped down, the holder cubby was grimy, and every surface seemed dirty. The only good parts were the location and the gentlemen at the front desk. I was very disappointed.

My son and I had a really pleasant stay at Comfort Suites in Gettysburg. The neighborhood was very quiet, which helped us sleep, and the room was spacious and clean. Staff were helpful and offered good dining suggestions. There’s a pool, and breakfast includes hot options like eggs, sausage links, waffles, yogurt, and fruit. The hotel sits between the Gettysburg Military visitor center entrance and the Gettysburg National Cemetary. I also liked the slow-closing toilet lids. Good value for the price.
