Courtyard Gettysburg

Gorgeous views all around, and the rooms are spacious with lots of furniture options. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous and has plenty of updated information, amenities, food, and market selections. But the information listed on this site and other booking platforms can be wrong. There’s no microwave in any room, only one in the lobby/common area on the first floor. Many listed features and hours are inaccurate. The bistro/cafe isn’t open every day and has specific days and hours, with offerings that differ from what’s shown online and in print. There are no vending machines, so you have to buy from the lobby market or go outside the hotel. Housekeeping only comes when asked. Bring anything you need that isn’t among the actual amenities. I’d recommend it once the features and amenities are updated.

The staff were really nice and friendly, no complaints there. The room was below par. A quick shower left water halfway up my shins because all the drains were so slow. The bed and pillows felt well worn, and the TV froze twice, so I had to unplug it to reset it.

Amy, the manager at Courtyard Marriot in Gettysburg, went out of her way to help when I was tired, hungry, and frustrated about finding somewhere with GF food because I’m on a GF diet due to celiacs. She walked us over to the Wyndham, where I had a delicious GF meal. Scarlett was also so kind and understanding of my needs, and made our stay much better. Amy’s effort went above and beyond her role. Thank you both for making our Gettysburg trip such a wonderful time. Marriott is lucky to have you, and I’ll definitely come back.

The room was pleasant, and the front desk staff were nice, but the way our reservation was handled was seriously disappointing. My friend and I are both handicap and requested a handicap room when booking. At arrival, we learned the request was in the system, but the last handicap room had been given to someone else. We had to take a regular room, and the person who told us didn’t seem bothered. The next morning, while my friends were checking out, I asked if any handicap rooms were available. The staff member said yes, arranged one for us, and put our friends next door. I was glad to move, but I shouldn’t have had to ask. Since the hotel had given away our room, they should have contacted us as soon as another became available. People request handicap rooms because they need them. If one isn’t available, guests should be told in advance. The decision not to hold our room could have led to a bad accident.
