The Union Hotel

We spent four days in Gettysburg and couldn’t imagine a better place to stay. The Union Hotel’s location made it easy to walk to downtown bars, restaurants, and everything else. Downstairs, the restaurant and tavern were convenient, with great food and atmosphere, and a nice place to unwind after exploring. Our spacious Lincoln Room blended historic character with modern comfort, and the staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. The building’s history is incredible, and the hotel is beautifully maintained. It was a highlight of our trip, and we’ll absolutely return and recommend it to anyone visiting Gettysburg.

The suite was clean, far more spacious than we imagined, and had a very comfortable bed. Whenever we needed something, the staff were helpful, smiling, and checked that we were satisfied. We were over the top thrilled with our stay at the Union Hotel and definitely want to come back.

We could walk to all the downtown shops from this comfortable room, and the bar and restaurant attached to the hotel were a huge bonus. It’s the perfect place for a Gettysburg weekend, and we’ll definitely stay here again.

The Sign of the Buck was a highlight, with excellent food, lovely presentation, and friendly, accommodating service. We even got to enjoy music in the bar on a Monday night. The hotel is an old building, but it’s been nicely upgraded and didn’t have the musty smell you sometimes find in older places. Our roomy suite was just right, the staff were great, and the bed gave me the best night’s sleep all week. It was a terrific find for our first Gettysburg visit and will be our go-to hotel and restaurant next time. Highly recommend!
