The Tillie Pierce House Inn

The house was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and very clean, and even with three or four other couples staying there, the evenings were quiet. The breakfast was delicious, and we appreciated the snacks in the dining room. Tillie Pierce House Inn was perfectly placed for our two nights and three days of sightseeing in Gettysburg. I was surprised there were no tissues in the room or bathroom, and when we ran out of toilet paper, no one responded to our request for more.

The innkeeper was so friendly and helpful, and the snacks and drinks were a lovely touch. Our room was spotless, nicely furnished, and had really comfortable beds and linens. Breakfast was just right. My wife was already talking about coming back before we’d even left Tillie Pierce House Inn.

We loved being right in the heart of Gettysburg, within walking distance of museums, restaurants, and the battlefield. The staff shared interesting history about the inn and gave us local suggestions, which made the stay feel special. Tillie Pierce’s story is right there in the inviting common areas, and we enjoyed reading about it. Our room was spotless and cozy, with antique furniture and period décor. The whole place is beautifully preserved, with a real 1800s feel alongside modern comforts. We were welcomed warmly from the moment we arrived.

The staff were wonderful and very accommodating, and I loved how authentic the Tillie House Inn feels. Parking is the one reason I held back a star. If you’re curious about paranormal activity, you might want to spend a night or two here. Things seem to fly off the counters, and after dark, when my husband left the room, we heard odd noises like cats playing in the walls beside us. Even if you don’t believe in any of that, the happenings are hard to ignore, though they could just be coincidences.
