Gila Bend Lodge

The room felt clean, comfortable, and new, and the location and service were good. The motel is under construction, but it caused no noise or inconvenience for us. The office has just moved into a room. The young couple doing the renovations were very accommodating and helpful. Gala Bend Lodge gets high marks from me. If you like motels, you'll like this one, and if you haven't tried one, you should. 🙂

I’ve stayed at two other hotels in Gila Bend over the years, and this is the one I’d return to. Our room was simple but pleasant and clean, with comfortable beds, a fridge, and a microwave. It was very quiet. The rooms have all been freshly redone, while the lobby, office, and dining room are still being worked on and look like construction areas. The place seems to be on an upswing.

The room was clean, which mattered most to me, and the shower was hot. But #101 felt a little bare and not very comfortable: just a bed, desk, and wooden chair, with no armchair, eating table, hangers, or place to hang clothes. The mattress was too soft for me. Michelle said it was the only room left, which didn't make sense since I'd booked through booking.com weeks ahead, though it wasn't a big deal. The man on the morning shift was very nice. Breakfast was all sweet stuff, not healthy, and the coffee was okay. The stay was acceptable, but it felt a bit sad and I'd probably not return if I had another option. For the price, though, it's probably the best deal in town.

It's an older motel and the furniture is a little dated, but everything was still nice and clean for the price. There's a cheap laundry room, a dollar store across the street, and every room has a fridge and microwave. The management are lovely people and the location is great. Nights are so quiet you sleep like a baby. A good choice if you're trying to save a few bucks.
