Hyatt Place Gilbert

Olivia made the stay great for me and a few family members. When I arrived late in the evening, she quickly helped me get everything sorted out. She knew the nearby places to eat and shop, and checked in with me in the Lobby to see how things were going and whether I needed anything. I'd definitely recommend this place. Thanks again, Olivia, for suggesting Farmers Boys. The French Fries were just as good as you said. :)

We paid for breakfast for three people for three mornings and only ate there once. It was chaotic, with no plates and no staff helping. One worker was eating a cup of noddle during service while guests asked each other where the plates were. He eventually brought out one plate at a time. Tables needed clearing, and the waffle batter dispenser was broken. A staff member opened it from the top and poured batter into our cup, which would have been fine if he hadn't put the cup back in the dispenser and left other guests to deal with the same problem. The room was dirty and disorganized, nothing like what I expect from Hyatt. There was something on the outside of the spare blanket bag, rust on and in the shower, hair on the pillows, and no microwave.

My husband and I arrived Sunday and leave tomorrow, Thursday, but our room still hasn't been cleaned. I called the front desk and was only told they'd pass the request along to housekeeping. The air conditioner was extremely loud, too. I asked them to bring a fan and they said they would, but it never showed up.

When we reached the lobby, we got a key from the front desk clerk and went up, only to find a man sleeping in our bed. We went back to get a different room, but there was no employee at the desk. After waiting 10 minutes, another guest figured out how to check in using the front desk computer. It seemed straightforward, apart from programming the key. Next time we have to stay here, I may need an employee to show me how to program key cards. Self check-in is optional when the lobby is empty.
