Cozy and very accommodating. We had a wonderful anniversary weekend and will definitely come back.

After we had to sort out medical matters, we ended up staying for two months. Everyone here has been lovely, kind, and helpful. The manager is a nice, helpful guy who always answers his phone. We felt safe the whole time, and the campground is clean with everything working. There are lots of permanent and long-term residents, plus a few shorter stays. It's a great deal for the price. Some cats roam around, but they're friendly, and there are no pests here. One camper even gave us a 22 lb bag of Friskies cat food their cat didn't like. People really are kind here. We first came with our dog, who had space to run and fetch, and the peaceful, lovely grounds have a gorgeous pond for fishing and a beaver family to watch. Everyone was friendly, a big change from the last place we stayed. The public bathrooms are a bit dated but clean. Dollar General, Food Giant, and fast food are 8 minutes down the road. It's surprising this place isn't busier since it's right off the highway, and it feels like a hidden gem. We were here for a month at first and expected it to fly by. If you're looking for a high-end KOA, pay for a KOA. I don't know why there are negative reviews. You can winterize with hay here and never see a mouse. Definitely avoid Moon River in Cadiz.

After riding my motorcycle in full gear through 90° heat, walking into a hot room was the last thing I wanted. I'd made a reservation, so I expected the staff to switch on the AC before I arrived. The picture shows where you check in.

Do NOT use this campground for an overnight stay! The spaces were okay, though most campers seem to live there permanently or stay a long time. The bathrooms were another story. In the men's room, only one toilet worked; another had been removed, leaving a hole in the floor. The ceiling above the showers had fallen in, and wires for the light were dangling. It looks like they're letting the place fall apart until there's nothing left. Again, do NOT stop here overnight.

For the positives, Monty, the manager, is a very nice man. There's a beautiful pond behind the property with mowed walking paths, the campsites had almost no litter, and the WiFi speed was about 7 out of 10. It costs only $30.00 a night. But this "resort" looks like it may have been lovely in the 60s and now seems very run-down, possibly struggling to stay open. We could smell a bad odor from the bathroom building from 10 feet away. We have a self-contained class A and never use campground bathrooms, especially in this age of Covid. Half the other sites seemed to be occupied by permanent, poor locals. We'll look for a campground on the "Big Lake" today.
