TownePlace Suites by Marriott Gilford

We came for a couple of days of snowboarding at gunstock with my teenage son and his friend. The location was convenient to the highway and only about 10 minutes from gunstock. The rooms and pool were nice and clean, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Having two separate bedrooms gave the kids their own space, and it was handy to have a stove, refrigerator, and microwave.

The location was great, close to restaurants and other things to do in the area. Our room was spotless and had a small kitchen area that was really convenient. The free breakfast was amazing, and the staff made us feel welcome. Overall, we had a great experience.

I’m adding this because Google changed the listing to the place I’m staying at now. Towneplace Inn and Suites in Gilford N.H. is lovely and a refreshing change from the Best Western on Hall Street. So far, I’d give it 4-plus stars and have nothing bad to say. I’ll write a full review this week. My two-night stay in February 2026 at Concord Inn and Suites in Concord NH on hall street was a huge disappointment. This review has been tampered with: I never posted the name or location shown, and I can’t fix it. The staff were rude and walked into our room twice even though we’d paid an extra $150 for late checkout. One of our bags was stolen, and staff refused to do anything. The room phone didn’t work, and the bathroom was disgustingly dirty. Whatever money you give them, you’ll never see again. I’ve never been treated so badly in hospitality, and I don’t even want to give them one star.

I arranged a reservation for my brother-in-law over Thanksgiving, and the whole process was easy and seamless. Michelle and her team at TownPlace Suites in Gilford were personable, accommodating, and excellent at their jobs. My brother-in-law said his room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. He also enjoyed the daily breakfast and found the staff professional and dependable. Kudos!
