Arrowhead Motel Gillette

For the price, this was hard to beat for a night. The rooms are dated, but clean and comfortable, and the woman who lives on-site and looks after things is lovely. Parking was a little tight with our large pick-up, though we managed to get in and out and park right outside our room. There’s no free breakfast or in-room coffee pot. The bathroom took a while to warm up, but the water got steaming hot and the shower was clean.

I’m usually not picky and almost always choose the cheapest place I can find, but this was the worst motel experience of my life. We ended up going to another hotel in Gillette and paying twice as much, and I can’t say enough about how bad Arrowhead Motel was. There were several problems in the room: it was very dirty, the toilet was clogged, the air conditioner didn’t work, and there was hair on the towels. I also waited several minutes at the Check-In counter before anyone helped us.

A really good stay all around. There was plenty of space, the service was impeccable, and the beds were comfortable. The shower pressure was glorious, and both the fridge and microwave worked. I also appreciated that the channel guide was accurate and included local restaurants. The motel was very clean.

I’ve been staying here for a little over two months and have really enjoyed it. The rooms are a bit cramped but manageable, and the staff are pleasant and helpful. Management are wonderful people, always polite and ready to make sure my family and I have what we need. I’ve read most of the reviews and don’t understand why some people sound so disgusted when they chose a cheap place to stay and weren’t satisfied. In my opinion, it’s a decent motel.
