Gilroy Inn

I stay here often when I’m doing business in the area and have no complaints. The rate is fair, and if you go two blocks west it almost doubles. The bedroom and bathroom are clean, the AC works well, and I’ve never seen a cockroach in my room. The front desk clerk is very nice. I always get room 104, and its refrigerator works.

We arrived at 2:40 am on the 3rd of Oct and only asked if there was an empty room. The man there was really mean and told us to stop asking, go away, and find another motel because we were wasting his time. Maybe he’d been sleeping and the bell woke him, or maybe he was drunk, but either way it was a very bad experience. He was old, bald, and white. I hope the owners read this and make a decision about that worker. I’ve never had a worse experience and don’t recommend coming here because of how we were treated.

We booked two rooms a week ahead and emailed to request adjoining rooms on the bottom floor, including one handicap accessible room, so our children could stay close to us. When we arrived, the owner couldn’t accommodate us and admitted that requests aren’t considered and emails aren’t read. Keep that in mind when booking. The owner at the front desk was rude and hard to understand. Thankfully, we found two rooms across the street at the last minute. We don’t recommend this hotel and won’t return.

I’ve never been treated so unprofessionally. I arrived with my family, and the man checking us in insisted my name wasn’t in the system. I asked him to check because otherwise my kids and I would have to sleep in the car, but he yelled at me. He sounded so certain that I drove to the hotel across the street, thinking I might have booked the wrong place. They respectfully confirmed I didn’t have a reservation there. I drove back and showed the same man my reservation email. He yelled at me to stop disturbing him and threatened to call the cops if I didn’t leave. I asked him to check again, and suddenly my name appeared on the computer. He kept yelling instead of admitting he’d been wrong. Never stay here.
