Quality Inn And Suites Gilroy

The reception staff were polite and responsive, and the beds were comfortable. Still, for a price close to the more expensive hotels, the quality fell short. The rooms were tiny, the floors were dirty, and I found dead insects on the floor and ceiling. There were holes in the wall, the AC worked only now and then, and breakfast was minimal in tiny room 111, where the keys wouldn’t even work. We stayed for two days and found it only reasonably good.

I was there for a week, and the room was simple, functional, and in a great location. It seemed to have been renovated fairly recently, though there was an odd smell that an air freshener could probably handle. The water pressure was good and the hot water was excellent. Fridge with freezer and small microwave were both clean and working.

We found bed bugs in the room and ended up with bites all over our bodies. Other guests said they felt like they were being bitten at night too. We gave management clear photos and video, but they refused a refund. They brought in an inspector two days after we reported it, by which time the room had been cleaned, the sheets changed, and everything tidied, so the inspector said it was clear. A frustrating and unacceptable stay.

I’d give this more than five stars. Best part was getting my power bank back that afternoon after I checked out, thanks to Dan and Abashi (sorry if I spelled that wrong). The room was big and clean, and hot water came quickly. The location’s great, right off the highway exit, with gilroy premium outlets just a 3 minute drive away. It was a great stay.
