The owners were kind, helpful, and quiet, and it was easy to get in and out. The place doesn’t have every amenity, but if you’re like me, you’ll already be prepared. I was very happy with my stay. Thanks for the hospitality.

I’m not a fan of smoking rooms at all, and asking for a $250 deposit for a non-smoking room is wild. Just catch up with the rest of us, ban smoking in rooms, and do something about the smell. Also, half the outlets only work when the overhead light is on. I’m not sure if these problems come from small towns or from Kentucky as a state.

When it’s 90° outside, the room gets to 110 because they don’t leave the air conditioners running. That tiny unit then takes hours to cool it down. The website says there’s a pool, but there isn’t one. They lie to bring in customers, and I don’t do business with people like that. Absolutely horrible.

The longer we stayed, the more money we paid and the nastier the owners got. We were there for three months at $65 a night while I tried to find a place to rent. You’d think they’d show a little leniency, but they demanded payment every morning by 10, and that cost me everything I had. Local resources and a couple of good Samaritans helped us get through. Right before we were finally going to move into a place in a couple of days, they threw us out into freezing temperatures because I was going to be a couple of hours late with the $65. I was literally ten minutes from paying for another night when they told us to leave. The room was cleaned only three times in those three months. They never mopped or cleaned the bathroom, just swept and took out the trash. At least we got clean sheets each time, but three cleanings in three months is disgusting. For nearly $5,000, I expected better maid service. They absolutely hate Americans, so if you’re American I wouldn’t advise staying. He told me all he cared about was his money, not my excuses for paying after 10 a.m. After two months and three weeks, he said he’d charge me $55 instead of $65 if I paid, but if a church or someone else paid, it would still be $65. When I brought $55 that day, he said it was five short. I reminded him he’d said $55, and he said it was $60 with tax. I later saw on the website that they’d dropped the rate to $55 for everyone. He’d made it sound like a special deal because we’d been there three months, when the rate had actually been lowered for all guests. So many nights it was just us, and you’d think they’d want a paying guest, but they’d rather kick us out for being a couple of hours late. This is what I had to deal with. I wouldn’t recommend staying more than one day. If I could give zero stars, I would.
