Ladajah made a difficult stay feel manageable and comforting. My father is an Ambassador-level guest who has stayed in thousands of hotels, and even by those standards her service stands out. She brought genuine compassion together with professionalism, and the company and property leadership should recognize what an asset she is. We were there for our anniversary after several exhausting days of snowstorm flight delays and constant rebooking, and she made us feel welcomed and cared for. From our first interaction at the front desk, she listened, reassured me, and did everything she could to make the stay go smoothly. She treated me like a person, not a problem or transaction, and I won't forget her kindness.

Ehab and the rest of the staff were the nicest hotel team I've met in Richmond, VA. They're so friendly, and the service is incredible. The building is new, the price is right, and there are lots of restaurants and shops nearby. There's plenty of parking if you're towing a boat or trucks. I've stayed at other Marriott hotels around here, but this one is the best. I love it and strongly recommend the Courtyard by Marriott Richmond Glen Allen to anyone traveling in Richmond, VA. Marriott never disappoints me. I really dislike Hilton hotels these days, and I'll only stay here.

The bistro was a nice part of the stay, with good food, Starbucks coffee, and friendly staff, much like other Courtyard properties. Getting around Richmond was easy, with most places 10-15 minutes away. My room was a bit dated, and the shower had chipped areas. It had two shampoo bottles but no conditioner. A few towels had brown marks, so I didn't use them. Still, it wasn't bad overall.

The ice machine worked, but I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it. I didn't find the bed comfortable, the room wasn't really clean, and I don't think it was good value. You could get the same at a cheaper, lower-tier hotel. The floor smelled like pot, though that wasn't the hotel's fault, and the tub and hair in it made me think it hadn't been cleaned well. Service in hotels seems rare now with online check-in and reservations, though that lack of interaction is another issue. It was better than the Hilton Virginia Crossings, probably because this place is newer or recently updated.

The staff are doing their best, but they can only work within the limits the owner sets. This Glen Allen property, owned and operated by Brooks Hospitality, doesn't look as upgraded as Marriott and Bonvoy's website suggests. The TV skips and stutters on live channels and on-demand, and many of the streaming options won't load. There's a pattern with Courtyard properties in northern Richmond. If you have to stay at a Marriott for points or redemption and need to be central to Glen Allen, you can stay here, but keep your expectations in check.
