Sylvan Inn Bed & Breakfast

We loved the old furniture, photos, and other period details at this historic Inn by Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. It felt nostalgic and comforting, like being wrapped in a warm embrace, but the place was very clean and never seemed dusty. Our spacious room, #5, had a little porch at the back. The bed was comfortable, and we both slept well on the nights we stayed. Breakfast was delicious each morning, with an excellent tea selection. We enjoyed eating on the wraparound porch on a chilly, damp October morning. The location, decor, comfort, breakfast, and nearby art galleries were all excellent. Beck was a friendly, efficient breakfast hostess, and we appreciated her hospitality. We’d happily stay again whenever we’re nearby. Thank you, Sylvan Inn!

This was our fourth time here, and we keep enjoying the comfortable rooms and their nice decor. Breakfast is always delicious, and you can eat inside, take it to your room, or have it on the porch. Trails and the lake are close by, with restaurants and shops just down the street. It’s a lovely place, worth checking out!

I’m usually not someone who writes reviews, but this inn is so cute, cozy, comfortable, and relaxing that I had to say something, even though my boyfriend already left a great review. The innkeeper was the nicest person ever. She asks how you want your eggs and even offers to help carry your luggage when you check out. The rooms were spectacular, and complimentary coffee and tea are right outside. I can’t think of a single negative thing. If you’re looking for the best place to stay in Glen Arbor, this is it!

We stayed one night. The room had a classic B&B feel without seeming dated, and breakfast hit the spot. The staff were very friendly, and check-in was easy. Just keep an eye on your texts that day, since a message from the innkeeper went into my spam. The location is great, close to Sleeping Bear Dunes and within walking distance of Glen Arbor’s shops and restaurants. I’d stay again.
