Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Moorpark Ventura County

The staff were friendly both on the phone and in person, the property felt safe, and we weren't nickel-and-dimed. Parking was free, and the location just off the 118 was convenient. There's no spa, though, and we were disappointed to find a broken heat pump sign on the pool gate after being told the pool was heated. The fire pit was never lit either. Breakfast was lacking in both quality and quantity, which we've seen before, but it was still a shock to see a young man loitering between two counters while blowing his nose. Buffet sanitation can be hard to avoid at hotels, especially when someone doesn't even say “excuse me.” Our room had a few minor maintenance issues, but we could open a window for fresh air and use the fan less. This Fairfield might be best when it's quieter and there are fewer people around. It was a bit pricey for us, so we continued on our way. In our experience, Fairfield Inn and Marriott are much better than other hotel brands. Everyone has their own preferences, but I wouldn't rule out this location just because of negative reviews.

Our second-floor room was clean and spacious, and the rate was reasonable. The front desk staff were very friendly. I think her name was Rachel, if I remember right. The hotel is right by Hwy 23 and 118. I'd recommend this Marriott to everyone 👌

The beds were really comfortable, and our room was clean. We also appreciated the complimentary EV charging stations. They were busy the first night, but easy to get the second night. The front desk employees were courteous. This place is awesome, highly recommend it.

The kid at the front desk this morning, the one trying to be Slim Shady, was a total joke as a representative of your company. He rolled his eyes and cursed at employees about doing his job. He had no uniform or identification. That sketchy kid needs an attitude adjustment. With that attitude, it'll come in due time.
