The room and hotel could use renovations. There were exposed electrical fixtures in the hallways, worn carpet, and scuffed walls. My heating and cooling unit was broken too. The knob didn't work, so in the middle of March it kept blowing cold air until I unplugged it. The curtains wouldn't close fully, letting in streetlight and morning sun. I've stayed in much nicer places for less, where employees treated me better. Here, staff generally seemed bothered and were sometimes rude. I was in a bind because I had left my debit and credit cards at home. Since my card details were already on file from booking, I asked the desk to charge it anyway. I offered two forms of ID, my confirmation email, and the card saved in Apple Pay. The woman at the desk just kept repeating that she needed the card, like a broken record. Thankfully, a friend who was also staying there was able to lend me money. Otherwise, they would have shown me no mercy. The woman ignored my request to speak with a manager.

I spent a month here for work, and the staff and management made it feel like home. They greeted me by name every morning and afternoon. Breakfast was very good, with lots of choices. Parking was free, felt safe, and had plenty of lighting. A great hotel whether you're staying a weekend or, like me, for a longer visit. You really feel like family.

We liked the room, the shower had good pressure, and the complimentary breakfast was nice. My daughter had fun working out in the gym, and we enjoyed the game room. The bathroom faucet was broken, though. After turning it on, it wouldn't always shut off. Also, the extra room fees they preauthorize on your card were disappointing. It would've been nice to know about them before check in.

The room was pretty mediocre overall, despite the makeup remover towelette being a thoughtful touch on our wedding night. The walls are paper thin. We could hear people coming and going in the hallway even from our suite's separate bedroom with the door shut. Housekeeping banged on doors and called out "housekeeping" at what seemed like every room, and we heard it wherever we were in our room, even though they weren't at our door. There was no working pen in the room, just an empty tube with a lid, and no ink or point. The AC unit sat at bed height right beside the bed, so when it kicked on, the person on that side got cold. It was extremely loud, too. Trucks on 202 and/or Route 1 could be heard most of the night. Bring earplugs if you stay. The bathroom had no fan, which seemed odd with a shower since you'd think it would help prevent mold. The shower was roomy, but its head was VERY low. My husband is about 5'7", and if he'd been any taller he would've needed to stoop to get his head wet.

The accommodations were really nice and the value was good. I liked the location and what the hotel offered. Front desk staff could have been more professional. We also had to handle our own luggage despite having a lot of bags, and nobody offered help with the cart.
